The deadline to register to vote for the New Jersey primaries is January 15th. So soon, I know! The Iowa caucuses reminded me. Instead of going to your County Office, it's easier to download the Voter Application Form on the Morris County Website or go to rockthevote.org, a secure site - where you can fill out the form, print it, and mail it in ASAP. Warning, don't go to other sites because there are a ton that are scams to get your information that won't register you =(. Anyways, please do!!! I will help anyone who needs it.

Pakistan's Elections Delayed

In light of Pakistan's political climate, parliamentary elections will be delayed until February 18th. I wanted to take the time to say how lucky we are to be Americans. I hear too much people complaining about our government, our democracy, and the faults of this country. It is more than a great thing to constructively criticize Congress and the Bush administration, but at the same time, we should recognize the almost supernatural stability of our federal government. We are the ONLY country in the history of this world who has held consistent elections, even through times of civil war and international conflict. That is a feat among feats.

Instead of New Years Resolutions...

That you probably will give up in 10, 9, 8, 7...you get the point; go to 43 Things where you can post your profile and up to 43 goals that you want to accomplish. I do it periodically for fun and to check out others' goals around the world - it's guaranteed to give you ideas. And you can set a time period for whatever the goal is and get e-mail reminders. From going cliffjumping to getting a new job or trying exotic cheeses, there are no limits for your 2008. :)
